Our continuity piece aimed to demonstrate our understanding of camera angles, editing, lighting and the operation of the camera itself and other accessories such as tripods and dollies We originally intended for our continuity piece to link in with our main thriller opening however we really thought that we should follow a different route yet as you can see through our final piece there are some similarities as we thought that we used some great shots and narrative ideas in our continuity piece as we put a lot of effort into the the pre lim, spending a lot of time shooting and re shooting the film to get the best footage possible. However we still found many errors when filming therefore we developed and managed to greatly improve our ideas and angles used in our main piece. We recorded external audio to put over the film to provide a backdrop for the story to highlight relationships between the characters. We also ingeniously used a skateboard to provide the camera with a tracking dolly to make the shot look smooth and professional. However we realised that there was still a lot we could improve on such as script/speech, music, stability of the shots and the use of various camera lens to provide variety and a different perspective on the situation.
